Learning Teaching

A four-step process to test your understanding of a given subject matter.

  1. Get a piece of paper and write the name of the technique/concept at the top
  2. Explain the concept in the most basic language possible. Avoid all technical jargon and pretend you’re explaining this concept to someone who has zero prior knowledge.
  3. Identify any areas that seemed shaky, or gave you pause. Go back to the source material and iron-out those wrinkles.
  4. Comb through your explanation and remove all technical terms.
